The majority of the images on this site and all of the other images I have made are a record of my becoming familiar with a place. I typically wander an area in the early morning or late afternoon one or two days week, as work and life allow for the duration of the project. My guides for these wanderings have varied, but the resulting effect is similar. They are each a set of rules I give myself designed to create a structure for my compulsion to walk around with a camera and record the places I have been, most often, through its trees.
