Lassen Volcanic National Park - Dixie Fire Remains
Lassen Volcanic National Park is located about 4 hours northeast of Richmond. The Dixie Fire of 2021 burned through a good part of the southeast side of the mountain. Along with Mt. Ranier and Mt. St. Helen’s it marks the third stop of the Pacific Ocean’s active volcanic Ring of Fire, in the contiguous US (the Ring makes three more stops up in Alaska).
